As previously reported, SE would be releasing multiple small updates for the Xperia X10 before the major update to a newer version of Android in September, and this is one of those smaller updates.

A user on an unofficial SE forum has come across a statement from an Sony Ericsson Offical, on the SE Facebook page, which states:

As for your battery life issue, we are working on an update which should effectively double the battery time. No, I don’t have release date information at this time

Good news for those of us that have an exceptionally hungry X10! Let’s hope SE have this one out soon.
