Android 2.4 spotted on prototype Sony Ericsson Xperia arc

Just like Eclair made the jump from 2.0 to 2.1, Gingerbread just might be making a jump from 2.3 to 2.4 with the news of a prototype Sony Ericsson Xperia arc running Android 2.4. The site the image first appeared on, Tweakers.net, says that it is an incremental build with extra features and animations that Google didn’t get to implement in 2.3. There’s no word on what these extras are exactly, but I’m thinking that a recently leaked out new-look Music App and the Demo Videos in Android Market listings just might have something to do with it. We’ll find out soon enough though. Video and pic of Music App after the break.

2.4 is only an extra update on top of 2.3. its just a top up update that 2.3 didn’t have time to do
