Optus prepping the LG Optimus 3D for release in early July

What do we have here? We have had a awesome tipster send us in this Optus display card, showing none other than the new LG Optimus 3D.

This is a handset I personally am really looking forward to — 3D is a bit of a love for me — so I can’t wait. Pricing and network availability has not been confirmed at this time, other than the fact that Optus is of course taking the handset (hence the display card). One thing we can tell you is July is the month. My guess is it will start on a $49 Cap.

I will also be reviewing the Optimus 3D later this month, so keep an eye out.

Np. P.S: You actually did it twice: “showing none other then the new LG Optimus 3D.”

Sorry if I come off as a spelling nazi, but nothing destroys the image of a professional blog quicker than incorrect spelling.

Clever and too much time on your hands 😉

Nah, appreciate it. I should have taken more care when proof reading.

I’m going to do a quick comparison of these phones. Hmmmph.

As for your other questions, not a clue at the moment.

I guess it will be a 4-way fight between the Atrix, Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation and Optimus 3D for dual-core Android supremacy then. Only major manufacturer missing is Sony then, but they won’t seem to be interested in dual-core at the moment. My big 2 questions: 1 – Owning a 3DS, other than the narrow viewing angles for 3D if the screen is viewed from any other angle (even in 2D mode) it is significantly less bright as the slits used for the 3D effect block a lot of the light. Could be an issue in direct sunlight. 2… Read more »
