Huawei Mobile have today launched the first dual-SIM Android phone in Australia, ‘The Deuce’. I love the idea of a dual SIM phone, the ability to mix and match SIM cards attached to different plans has great possibilities with the range of plans available, it also offers business users the opportunity to run their work SIM and personal SIM in the phone at the same time.

    What the deuce?

I see what you did there.

    Pointless IMO.

Multiple Sims for different plans? I remember back in the day when you’d have a prepaid sim for call minutes, and one for messaging, but these days with the amount of unlimited calls/SMS and massive data allowance its unnecessary.

Great idea, but not the phone to do it on, low specs, android 2.2 and it seems looking at the pic that the 2nd sim is 2g only, no dual 3g support.

I would love to see a high end phone (nexus type high) with a dual SIM, would be great for work.

    • Level380

    Android 2.2 *sigh*

Low spec phones and tablets coming out of China mean that there’s no foreseeable end to fragmentation.
