HTC One X leaked on HTC’s own website ahead of MWC announcement

Greek website FullGSM managed to scrape these photos of the upcoming HTC One X when HTC accidentally leaked them onto their own website a little too early. The One X is going to be announced tomorrow at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and just might be the phone of the show, seeing as Samsung is a no-show with its Galaxy S II successor. The specs list is one to behold and starts a new era of high-end Android smartphones.

  • 4.7-inch Super LCD2 1280×720 Display (w/ Gorilla Glass)
  • 1.5GHz Tegra 3 (4-PLUS-1) CPU
  • 32GB Internal Storage, 1GB RAM
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA
  • 8MP / 1.3MP Cameras
  • Android 4.0.3 w/ Sense UI 4

From the sounds of things the camera is going to be quite a piece of equipment. It has a backside-illuminated f2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens, dedicated HTC Image chip, and a dual shutter mode that allows you to take photos while shooting Full HD 1080p video. Other images from the site, including the list of specs is included in the gallery below. So, who wants one?

I like it.  And it will be available by the time my HTC Desire comes off contract with Telstra.

Well seeing how much of a letdown all samsungs announcements have been so far, im not expecting much from the s3 now. Maybe HTC is the way to go.

Ill hold out and see regardless

Hopefully the battery life will be ok with the 4 + 1 core, but will probably drain pretty quickly once you start doing something intensive.

1800 mAh seems pretty decent – way better than my Desire HDs’ 1250mAh, but it’d be good to see some stats.

@e34e36cb9292b8068b55059a3586e2fe:disqus  – I agree, I’m a fan of sense and don’t quite get the hate towards it! I get a bit of lag sometimes with sense 3.0, but usually only when I have a live wallpaper.

How will battery life fare I wonder? Seeing as the battery is being listed as built in that rules out extended battery…

No LTE? I’m now using the Velocity 4G and love it so much. Wouldn’t think of buying a phone without 4G (LTE)

Also why does everyone hate on sense so much? It’s so much better than stock and I have no problems with lag.

As I just tweeted, after the farce that was the sensation development (HTC releasing false sources and encrypting bootloader and only offering a half arsed unlock method) I really can’t get excited about a HTC phone anymore..specs look great but sense will bloat it and lag it no doubt… If they gave up on sense or just made it less intrusive it may be more appealing…

And no menu button is weird..not all apps have the menu button built in yet…

And so it begins the race to leak any sort of information one day out mwc. Will android have a feed or link for the event?
