Motorola. On Display event tomorrow morning, new RAZR phones incoming?

A Motorola event has been scheduled for 2pm tomorrow at Gotham Hall in New York(4am tomorrow morning AEST) which looks set to reveal a few new devices and given Motorolas focus lately it would be fairly safe to expect some new RAZR phones. The current rumour is that the new phones may be bezel-less which would certainly set a distinctive look which could possibly be registered as trade dress?

The rumours for the launch are for a new RAZR HD and a phone called the RAZR M, no definite specs for either but the RAZR M may have:

  • 4.3″ Super AMOLED Advanced display at 1196×720 resolution
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 8 GB of internal storage
  • 8MP Rear camera and 3MP Front Facing camera
  • NFC

Then just a few hours ago, the Motorola Australia twitter feed pushed out a tweet :

So we could be seeing any new devices announced tomorrow appearing shortly in Australian stores It will be good to see what Motorola has to announce as it has been a very quiet year from them so far with no real announcements from them, this will be the first big launch of a phone since their purchase by Google was finalised although I don’t think we will see anything really affected by the sale to Google this early but that said I would love to see them do something really ground-breaking. You can watch the event live on the Motorola Youtube Page from 4am Tomorrow AEST :

About Daniel Tyson

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-t0-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress and IFA.

  • Unlocked bootloaders, please! That goes for these new devices and existing ones too.
