Developer unlocks 720p video recording on the Nexus 7, you can do it too

We’re not too sure why you’d ever need it, but we know you’d want it: 720p video recording on the Nexus 7’s front (and only) camera. One of the great developers over at XDA-Developers worked out that the camera natively supports 720p recording, but Google left out the media profiles allowing its functionality.

Now that problem has been solved and high definition recording is only a few clicks and steps away. Head over to XDA to get started, and yes, an unlocked/rooted Nexus 7 will come in handy.

Just did mine. Definitely better quality video. The flashable zip method was dead easy.
