I’ve been looking at upgrading my camera recently, and the camera I was looking at is only $150 cheaper than this one and doesn’t have the added abilities of photo/video editing or uploading to various social networks. For me, that is worth the price difference. (Most other specs are similar)

You miss my point. It is a point and shoot… they all take similar quality shots. You can’t really change the settings like on a proper DSLR. Who cares if it has 3g when it costs 400 more than other point and shoots, but takes no better shots

sh*tty is not what I would call this device. I had a play with it at the launch, and I was rather impressed with the software as well as the quality of the shots taken.

Price is a bit high and who wants 3G on the camera Wifi yes but no need for 3G other than that I would get one.

I think to get this market started a less ambitious and costly model would have been better. Something with the specs and screen size around about that of a Nexus S.

Reduced price – reduced size, usable screen + usable performance – but it introduces the public to the idea of a network-connected camera at a lower cost-point.

Instead its a badly shaped smartphone with excellent rear-facing camera and no phone-calls.

Nuh. Won’t sell. This is a sh*tty point and shoot with 3g. Who cares? You can get a basic DSLR at that price now and an equivalent quality point and shoot for $200. S

I disagree. The 4.77″ screen is one of the features of the camera, and it really allows you to do in-gadget editing, (not to mention logging into your social photography networks), easily. Also, to house that fantastic 21x Optical zoom needs some serious housing.

Just had a play with one of these things. They are HUGE. Needs to get much more compact to compete with other compact cameras!
