LG Optimus G

LG has just announced that the Optimus G will be launching in March in an exclusive deal that will see the flagship phone on the Telstra network. The Optimus G has recently broken the 1 million unit sales mark worldwide and the internal components of the phone are used to power the Google Nexus 4 but with the Optimus G you get the added bonus of an LTE radio.

Andrew Volard, Director, Telstra Mobile, said Telstra was looking forward to bringing Optimus G to Australia’s largest 4G-enabled network.

Optimus G is a phenomenal smartphone that combines superb build quality, a beautiful 4.7-inch display and latest quad-core processor technology. When paired with Telstra’s high-speed 4G coverage — which is available in more than 100 metropolitan and regional areas across the nation — it’s a high-performance package we know our customers will love.

No indication at this stage as to how long the Optimus G will remain an exclusive on Telstra for or even if other carriers will be getting the Optimus G but we look forward to getting our hands on the Optimus G to see how it stacks up against the rest of the market but also against the Nexus 4.
