Supposed Full HTC One (M7) press render leaks showing Black and White models

HTC-M7-ONE

With just under 4 hours to go till the HTC event in New York kicks off which will supposedly launch the HTC M7 (or HTC One as the many leaks surrounding the device would suggest its name is), full press shots have been leaked by French site Nowhereelse.

The shots confirm the authenticity of earlier leaks of the handset shown off on the @Evleaks Twitter account. The images show the Beats audio logo on the back, as well as a decidedly Windows Phone-esque tile arrangement on the Sense 5 main screen. We can also see that HTC has continued with the inclusion of capacitive buttons at the bottom of what is rumoured to be a 4.7″ 1080P screen.

The event begins at 2am AEDT. I’ll be awake for it; who will be joining me to see exactly what HTC has got to show us? We should also hopefully be seeing local availability and pricing information on Thursday at the HTC launch event.

Update (11.30pm AEST): an Italian source by the name of Telefonino has just posted some more pictures which show that the back of the phone could be a bit of a fingerprint magnet.

Update #2 (12:05am AEST): we have a hands-on video! Does anyone speak German?

Is it just me or do they seem to be missing the multitask button?

    • Phil Tann

Multi-touch, long press or soft buttons could account for that.

    • Graham Bae

HTC phones have previously used a long press on the home button for multitasking.

      • Damon Lewis

From what I saw of the video which has been released it looked like a long press of home went to GoogleNow

      • Graham Bae

If the multitasking button is a long press of the HTC logo, I’m taking eggs to the press event.

      • Damon Lewis

I now read that a double tap of home is multitasking and a long press of home is Google Now. Ha

      • Graham Bae

I guess slapping their logo front and centre is more important than usability.

  • Clinton Jackson

the HTC logo may be a button

    • Jason Murray

Oh I REALLY hope that’s not the case.

  • Ahmato27

Why do they insist on having the power button on top? It’s so uncomfortable to press.

    • Graham Bae

Tell me about it! I’m not a fan of the headphone jack being on the top either, so it’s off to a very shaky start in my book!

I don’t care for HTC’s skinning or software.. but damn, from the pictures, this is the nicest looking phone ever imo.

    • Graham Bae

I really hope it lives up to the hype, for HTC’s own sake but more importantly the health of the Android market.

Good looking phone but that button layout kills it for me. I can kinda get behind the logic of having a long-press home button for multitask but what about Google Now? God I hope it’s not a long press of the back button.

htc logo as camera button? :S
