Unlocked Google Glass units can now run ClockworkMod Recovery

google-glass-header

ClockworkMod is a staple in the Android world. If you’ve ever rooted your device, chances are you’ve come across it at some point, and almost every Android device imaginable supports it. And now, so does Glass.

Google Glass was unlocked a while ago, and developers have been doing cool stuff with it ever since, but the release of (an unofficial) build of ClockworkMod Recovery takes it to a whole new level. There are no custom ROMs available for Glass yet, so there isn’t anything to flash, but all the other usual features are there – backup and restore, ADB access, factory resets and USB storage.

As jealous as I am that Glass is only available in the US at the moment, I’m excited that once Google will let us buy it, all the hacking will have already been done and there’ll be plenty of tweaks to play around with.
