Sony to hold press conference at IFA, Xperia Z Ultra a possibility

sony-ifa-2013-event

The mobile electronics show, IFA, is taking place in Berlin from September 6th to the 11th and amongst the crowds of manufacturers is Sony, and they will be holding an event there to show off some of their new wares.

Without confirming a product launch in the above invitation for the event, it has been widely rumoured that Sony have a number of products up their sleeves — namely the Xperia Z Ultra, and that wireless camera lens we’ve seen floating around that sits on the back of your Sony mobile.

The event will take place just hours before Samsung’s UNPACKED Episode 2 2013 event which is likely to showcase the new Galaxy Note III — a direct competitor to the rumour Xperia Z Ultra — and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

September is shaping up to be the month where the phablets get their own time to shine, and perhaps maybe a smartwatch or two as well.
