Welcome to episode 109 of the Ausdroid podcast!

This week we talked with Geoff about his shiny (shimmery) new Galaxy S5, and his first impressions of his new phone. Scott also talked about his recent car mount charger review, and Jason talked about recent developments with Sonos. We ended with a bit of a discussion about use of password managers in the wake of the Heartbleed OpenSSL vulnerability.

Hosted by Jason Murray, with Geoff Fieldew and Scott Plowman.

Posting on an old podcast, I am a bit behind on my podcast listening… Whoops.

Just cause it comes up occasially in discussions on the podcast, the touchwiz “features”.

I have a Korean S4, it’s dock was locked on jellybean and kitkat. Also I can not get the camera quick access to work from the lock screen. It seems to be disabled (like you guys mentioned) for pattern locks etc… But even on swipe to unlock, while it shows its available, enabling it results in no chance to lock screen functionality.

Also it’s camera still does the audible capture sound, regardless of headphones or volume.

What I am try to say is that it ain’t just Australia that seems to get the frustrating touchwiz roms, it’s home country has the same “feature” level… Dock being frozen was the main reason I moved pretty quickly to another launcher.
