LG G3 Gold
The upcoming, unannounced LG G3 is getting leakier by the day. There’s been two leaks regarding the LG G3 overnight, the first of which shows off the new LG UI and the second is from a User Agent Profile (UAProf) for a version of the LG G3 destined for US Carrier Sprint.

The Leaked UI screenshots shows off a very welcome change to what has been described as a very ‘cartoony’ looking interface. The new design direction that LG appears to have adopted with the LG G3 is flatter and very much in line with where software UI design has been heading.

There’s a fair bit changed design wise, in the look, but still present in the notification shade are the Q Slide apps that LG has been pushing in their phones, and which they opened up to third party developers earlier this year. With the higher resolution screen on the LG G3, we can also get a very good look at what’s being described as a ‘Concierge’ service that LG will reportedly be building into the Accuweather widget.

It’s uncertain as to whether the ‘Concierge’ service will be tied into this widget alone, but it will apparently extend beyond the Google Now service and learn from you.

LG G3 Screenshots - 4 Softkeys

Also a pleasant surprise is the introduction of the multi-tasking soft key. The soft keys within the LG UI have up till now been able to be changed, skinned and basically personalised with the exception of this multi-tasking key and hopefully this button has been added to the existing functions.

Lastly, the UAProf for the Sprint version of the LG G3 has been found in that carriers online device database. The UAProf confirms the 2560×1440 screen resolution, but also confirms the phone will have 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage with microSD card slot up to 64GB and 16MP rear camera – OIS is not mentioned, but we’re hoping – and a 2.4MP front-facing camera. The UAProf also confirms a Krait based Qualcomm processor but fails to list the exact one, although current rumours are for a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 (Fingers still crossed for an industry leading 805 though).

While it’s a Sprint based unit, the specs would most likely be the same as the international model released for the rest of the world.

The LG G3 is shaping up to be an absolute beast of a phone, spec wise it sounds top of the line and the UI appears to be making strides towards a very usable, even good looking design. With a June/July rumoured announcement planned for the LG G3, we don’t have long to wait to find out.
