Galaxy S5 Active shown off in the wild

Samsung Logo
We all knew it was coming, and here it is. The man behind the videos we saw over the last couple of days claiming to be of the Galaxy S5 Prime has gotten his hands on a Galaxy S5 Active(SM-G870A). Unlike the Galaxy S5 Prime he claims to have this one looks absolutely legit.

The Galaxy S5 Active has the same heavy duty industrial design of the original, which appears to be fully waterproof and surrounded by a rubberised casing. The phone has the same hardware buttons as the original, but this also leads to speculation as to whether this model will have the fingerprint scanner from the standard Galaxy S5.

TK – the man behind the camera, speculates that the screen appears to be a higher resolution than a 1080P display but promised to do a full pixel count later. It’s a rough and ready hands-on with more information about specs promised very soon, check out the video and see what you think :

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
