With the rollout of Android 4.4.3 to Nexus and Google Play edition phones underway, Motorola also took to their blog on Tuesday to confirm their commitment to rolling out updates will continue with the three Moto series phones – Moto X, Moto G and Moto E all confirmed to receive the update.

The update to Android 4.4.3 will begin in specific regions this week to the following models and regions :

  • Moto X T-Mobile users
  • Moto G users who bought online in the U.S. (includes Moto G 4G LTE) and at retail in Brazil
  • Moto E users who bought online in the U.S. For Moto E users, you are still up for the next major Android update as well. Consider this the cherry on top.

There’s a range of new features that the Android 4.4.3 update will deliver – notably the updated dialler, but the Moto X and Moto G will both include updates for video recording, while the Moto X will receive updates to the camera for photos.

We’ve asked Motorola Australia for comment on a rollout of Android 4.4.3 to our phones here and they advised to keep an eye on the Motorola Australia support page – which lists the software update status for Motorola phones released in Australia. It hasn’t been updated for the Moto X or Moto G (The Moto E doesn’t even appear on it yet) yet, but we hope it won’t be too long.
