Sony prepares to release a ‘Selfie’ phone tomorrow

Sony is about to join the ‘Selfie’ phone race, tonight teasing a new phone release for tomorrow on their Twitter account. The tweet uses the hashtags #GetTheFullPicture and #Tomorrow with the 8th of July date emblazoned on a ‘Selfie’ shot (which is more a ‘Groufie’ according to Huawei).

What the phone could actually be is the Sony Xperia C3, which Android Central caught wind of via Chinese site Weibo. The phone will apparently be very well suited for ‘Selfies’ if the rumour of a front-facing Flash module are true.

It’s an interesting option, which quite frankly we’re surprised no-one has thought of before. Whether it works or not we’ll find out after Sony announces the phone.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
