Google offering 6-months Play Music All Access with purchase of a Nexus 6 in the US

Play-Music-640x312
US customers who hit Google Play this morning to order a Nexus 6, were offered a small bonus when ordering their phone – the option to get 6 months of Google Play Music All Access.

Google Play Music - Nexus 6 Offer

It’s a pretty decent bonus for customers in the US (worth up to US$60 all up), but without the phone on-sale here in Australia we can’t tell if it will be offered to Australian customers. Unfortunately the Terms & Conditions attached to the offer don’t bode well with Google advising :

Promotion only open to users who are residents in the United States who have purchased a Nexus 6 in their country of residence on or before December 31, 2014 from Google Play

There’s also bad news if you’ve signed up to Google Play Music All Access in the last 12 months, with those people also ineligible for the deal. There’s quite a few caveats and Google is reserving the right to ultimately change, cancel or amend the offer at any time.

We’ll hopefully see this in Australia as Google tries to push their service to anyone, but it’s not guaranteed.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

Google always makes these sort of promotions only for new customers. I’d love Google to offer these promotions to anyone signing up instead of discriminating against their existing supporters.
