Telstra announces pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini with bonus Monster headphones

Only six months after it was announced, Telstra has today announced pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini have gone live, offering a bonus of a set of Monster headphones for those wanting to pre-order the handset.

The Galaxy S5 Mini is available from Tesltra starting on their $65 plan, which offers $550 worth of talk time and MMS, as well as unlimited text messages and 500MB of data, although they offer larger plans if you want to pay extra. To qualify for the Monster headphones, you have to pre-order a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini on a plan online before 9am AEST on the 24th of Februray.

Telstra offers a ‘Peace of Mind’ commitment with all their plans which gives you a range of extras for the first month, including :

  • 25GB of data to use in Australia on top of your plans monthly data allowance.
  • Unlimited calls within Australia to standard Australian numbers.
  • Unlimited MMS within Australia to standard Australian numbers.

The Galaxy S5 Mini is compatible with the Telstra 4GX network which offers download speeds up to 75Mbps. It has some decent specs, offering a Quad-Core processor, 4.5″ 720P resolution display and comes with Samsung’s fingerprint scanner.
