Sony lining up Lollipop release for Xperia T2 Ultra, C3 and more!

Xperia Lollipop
Sony has quietly been plugging away at releasing Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for their flagship Xperia Z line of phones, with the rollout now underway for the Xperia Z (Z1, Z2 & Z), Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z – but it’s time to look beyond the flagships and from next month, that’s exactly what they’ll be doing.

Sony will be rolling out Android 5.1 to the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 from next month – depending on your carrier of course. But that’s not the end of it, because Sony has been listening to feedback and will be releasing Android 5.1 for the Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua, though exact timing hasn’t been announced.

The updates will come soon after the Xperia Z updates have been completed, so that shouldn’t be too long. We’ll keep an eye out for updates from Sony, as well as Vodafone, Optus and Telstra in the coming months.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
