Facebook’s 2015 review video puts this year into perspective

Facebook Year in Review video header

Just like YouTube, Facebook has also launched their own 2015 review video showing highlights of some of the internet and the worlds greatest achievements. Facebook also highlights their ability to connect disparate global communities.

The companies Year in Review video, outlines the top 10 stories of 2015 which have taken place on their social networking service thanks to users sharing their personal stories with each other and the world. The list and video includes the NASA pictures of dwarf-planet Pluto, the upcoming US presidential election, Paris terrorist attacks, Syrian civil war and refugee crisis, Nepalese earthquakes, Baltimore protests, and the change in US law to allow full marriage equality (which of course is yet to occur here in Australia – fingers crossed for 2016).

Facebook said that “Year in Review top 10 lists were measured by how frequently a topic was mentioned in Facebook posts made between January 1st and December 1st, 2015. To put this list together, Facebook posts were analyzed in an aggregated, anonymized way, and then ranked to create a snapshot of the year on Facebook.”

You can watch the Year in Review video below:
