Sony announce the Xperia Z5, in Pink

Z5 pink group

As we suspected this morning Sony has officially announced a Pink variant of their Xperia Z5 smartphone, and apparently it’s a beauty. Apart from a new coat of “warm and sophisticated pink” paint, there are no other changes to the new model, it’s still packing:

  • 5.2” FHD 1080p (1920×1080),Triluminos display for mobile
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994)64 bit Octa Core processor
  • 3 GB RAM
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop
  • 1/2.3” 23 MP Sony Exmor RS™ rear facing sensor
  • 5 MP front camera Sony Exmor R™ front facing sensor
  • IP65/68 rating
  • GSM, GPRS, UMTS, HSPA (3G), LTE (4G)/ LTE (s4G) Cat 6
  • aGPS, Bluetooth 4.1 wireless technology, DLNA Certified®, WiFi SISO, MHL 3.0, NFC
  • 2900mAh Battery with Quick Charge 2.0
  • 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm @ 154 grams

The Xperia is still a striking device in my opinion, and the additional colour just may appeal to a new market segment. Take a loot at the new colour in all it’s glory.

Are you, or do you know someone who would be, excited for a Xperia Z5 in Pink?

🙁 Saw pink and got excited. Give me hot pink and I’m sold! Currently have the orange Z3 Compact.

Not sure why you guys haven’t reviewed this, its been a while that it was into market, Looks like even the reviewers are not interested on this device

We’ve had Compact and standard review units for a little while. There have been issues with them that we’ve been working through with Sony in the background (make of that what you will), but we also wanted to wait until the Premium edition came out so we could review them all together.

Premium got released, Christmas and New Year happened, CES happened … you get the idea. 🙂

Upshot: Review shouldn’t be far away now!
