Telltale Games long awaited episodic Batman title, which they first announced back in December last year has finally got a release date, with Telltale also releasing a trailer and name of the first episode.

Telltale are at the top of the heap when it comes to episodic games on mobile, having previously launched and delivered great titles for The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

The first Batman game is due for release on August 2nd according to the latest announcement from Telltale. The first episode will be titled ‘Realm of Shadows’ and as well as hitting iOS and Android devices will also head to PC/Mac and consoles including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

A good lineup of voice talent is involved with the game with Troy Baker, who played Joel in the hit game The Last of Us in the role of Bruce Wayne. Other acting talent includes Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle.

As well as the release date, Telltale Games has also added a new trailer and description:

Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.

Each episode will be sold separately but an in-game season pass will also be available once the game launches. We’re looking forward to this one, so stay tuned.
