Optus customers can get exclusive access to a new National Geographic app

Optus has today announced a new perk for selected customers, offering exclusive access to a new National Geographic app.

The National Geographic offer is open to Optus customers on eligible 24 month My Plan mobile plans on selected iOS and Android devices. The offer also includes access to the content within the National Geographic app, which is available on both Google Play and the Apple app store, without using your data.

National Geographic is supplying 129 years worth of content in the new app, covering topics such as people, places, space, science, nature, history and of course, animals. Content includes articles, documentaries to watch and of course Nat Geo’s award-winning, breathtaking photography.

Optus says specifically, the app contains:

The National Geographic App includes selected content onwards from 2016, National Geographic magazines and prior to January 2010, full magazine content from January 2010, and web articles from January 2014.

Optus has arranged exclusive access to the app for 18 months, and it’s available to Optus customers on eligible plans for the life of their contract.

To learn more, you can head to the Optus perks website, or click the Google Play link to see if you’re eligible.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
