Level 6 and above Local Guides can now apply for exclusive access to Beta Maps features

Google’s Local Guides program recently updated their Local Guide program adding in more levels, more ways to collect points and a big question about what attaining the new levels would grant you?

According to Android Police some Local Guides are now receiving an email inviting them to sign up to receive “A secret app for top Local Guides” that allows access to a special Google Maps features before anyone else. Some of the Level 6 and above Local Guides on our team have the email, however, if you have the link you can skip the email and jump straight to applying.

If you apply to join you’ll be put through a grueling survey comprised of asking what kind of device you use, Android, iOS or “other”. Following that you’ll have to accept the T & C and then you just have to wait and see if you’ve been successful.

What new features do you think Local Guides may be testing? Google teleportation perhaps? Let us know below.

Have signed up, but this will be on APK mirror minutes after it’s released anyway 😛
