Vodafone double the data for 1 and 2 year plans

A few days ago we reported on Vodafone offering a Christmas bonus of double data on their $30 Prepaid Cap. Well, they are back at it again with a new offer of double data for the life of the plan on one and two year contracts. The fine print is that it is open to existing customers upgrading to a $60 or more plan, and new customers starting on a $60 or more plan. Vodafone switches on 4G network for new prepaid customers

Vodafone launched their prepaid 4G  plans last month exclusively for existing customers, but as of tomorrow (6 November), new prepaid customers can join in the goodness of 4G. Naturally you will need to have a 4G capable handset, such as the recently launched Nexus 5, and a plan with plenty of data. Fortuitously, Vodafone has today announced that the $30 Prepaid Cap will have double the data until 31 January 2014, from 500MB to 1GB if activated before the end of January. Vodafone doubles the data on $30 Prepaid Cap for Christmas

In an early holiday gift to all, Vodafone is doubling the data on its $30 Prepaid Cap to 1GB. As well as the extra 500MB of data, the plan still includes $450 of flexible call credit and infinite SMS. This is available to prepaid customers from now, and the cut-off for the last activation to receive the double data offer is 31 January 2014. Optus launches the LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Ace 3

Optus has added two new Android devices to its line up, bringing the total number of Android 4G devices available on plans to eleven, with every one of their Android phones being 4G capable. Optus announces exclusivity on the LG G2

This morning, Optus has announced its exclusive carriage of LG's G2 handset which Ausdroid reviewed last month. Available in store, online and via telephone sales today, the G2 and its fancy advanced 4G features will really enjoy Optus' 4G network. Optus advises that the LG G2 runs on Optus' 4G Plus and 4G networks, meaning more coverage and more speed, and of course Optus' fairly decent 3G network as well. LG has just announced availability for the highly anticipated LG G2 in Australia. The G2 will be launching on Optus as the exclusive carrier and through selected Australian retailers in Black and White on November 4th. HTC announces the Desire 300 available exclusively from Telstra

Updated: Aldi Mobile slashes data on Unlimited Pack to 2.5 GB

Aldi Mobile has updated its Unlimited plan, halving the data allowance. Ausdroid reader Vijay also reports that the $10 International calling credit that used to come with a $35 recharge has been removed. Vodafone prepaid 4G launches today

Vodafone opens their 4G network to prepaid users today, but there are a few caveats to start with. HTC One Max headed for Optus

The recently launched HTC One Max looks like it will be coming to Optus, if their Google+ page is a good indicator. Optus has just posted a mini review of the One Max, indicating that an announcement for stocking the phone is looming. HTC Desire 601 coming exclusively to Vodafone

The Desire brand is officially back in Australia with Vodafone announcing today that the HTC Desire 601 is now available exclusively through them. The Desire 601 is a mid-range LTE phone with a 4.5" qHD 540x960 resolution screen and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
