Telstra invites Sydneysiders to try out the Galaxy S5 and Gear Fit on Friday morning

With Friday's launch of the Galaxy S5 almost upon us, we're starting to see a few launch day activities crop up. Telstra has announced that it'll be demoing the phone along with Samsung's newest wearables - the Gear Fit and Gear 2 Neo in Sydney on Friday morning at Hickson Road Reserve in The Rocks between 6am and 10am. Window to register for a chance to go to Google IO expands to four days and moves to next week

The window to register your interest to attend Google IO in June was supposed to open up in the early hours of tomorrow morning, and be open for two days according to the announcement made on the Google Developers blog last month. But the Google Developers Google+ account has just advised the window will now be open longer, but will not open till next week. Registrations for Google IO open April 8-10

While announcing their annual developer conference earlier this year, Google addressed the problem of the yearly rush by developers to gain tickets for the event by announcing that potential attendees would need to apply for the opportunity to purchase a ticket, today they've announced that there will be a two day window to apply opening in April. The opportunity to put your name forward as an interested party, will open on April 8th and remain open till April 10th, after which time Google will randomly select applicants and forward ticket purchase confirmation emails. [MWC 2014] Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet officially launched

At their Mobile World Congress event, Sony have officially launched the newest member of their Android tablet range, following up last years ultra-thin Xperia Tablet Z with the Xperia Z2 Tablet, and let me say, this tablet looks stunning. Google I/O 2014 dates announced – attendees will need to apply to go

It's the conference that Google developers and fans alike want to attend and this year it will be held on June 25-26 at the usual place - the Moscone West conference centre in San Francisco. There's a slight change to the ticketing system this year. Google to announce partnership with Audi at CES for Android integration in vehicles

The Shoot – Samsung’s Australian short film premiere

Samsung hosted a presentation of Australian short film The Pilgrim Report at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday night. The film is the result of a Samsung-sponsored program called The Shoot, run over the past couple of months in conjunction with the National Insitute of Dramatic Art, in which 10 young filmmakers were selected for an 6 day program to conceive, produce and film the project.
