I first approached Optus about interviewing their Software Updates manager on the 8th of August last year, and they advised they would see what they could do. There was some back and forth, but Optus was unable to arrange a face to face[Read More...]

Rumour: Security Update JWR66Y heading for the Nexus 10?

It seems that yesterday’s report from Dan, regarding the security update for the Nexus 4, JWR66Y, is now rumoured to be heading for the Nexus 10, according to Android Police. Unfortunately at this stage, we still don’t know what the heck the update does or brings to the Nexus 10 specifically. Android 4.2.2 update for Vodafone HTC One is now rolling out

After delaying the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One to ensure that customers would not be charged for the data, Vodafone has advised that the update is now available. The Vodafone Blog has updated to advise that the update will be preceded by a 1.5MB update which will then enable the larger Android 4.2.2 update to proceed. The update is staggered, so you will receive a notification to update OTA ‘at some point over the next few weeks’ but to check manually go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates. HTC One Max could come equipped with fingerprint scanner

HTC One Max could come equipped with fingerprint scanner

HTC is yet to formally announce the One Max which means the leaks just keep on coming. This time the leak is from ePrice, and it’s a photo of the rear of the One Max alongside the One and One Mini. The interesting thing? That black square below the camera which is rumoured to be a fingerprint scanner. A potential use-case for this could be unlocking the phone using your fingerprint on the back instead of reaching up to the top to hit that badly-positioned power button on such a large device. Other specifications include a 5.9-inch 1920×1080 Full HD[Read More...]
