Vodafone to begin rollout of Jelly Bean to Samsung Galaxy S II tomorrow

On the 5th of April Vodafone annoubced that they had approved the Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S II for both the Vodafone and 3 models. Unfortunately at the time, no date was given on when the update would be rolled out but today the information has been updated to advise that the update will begin to rollout tomorrow. Vodafone confirm Galaxy SII Jellybean Update approved

Vodafone have confirmed in writing to Ausdroid a short time ago that the Jellybean update for the Samsung Galaxy SII has been approved for both the Vodafone and Three network devices and is now awaiting a release schedule from Samsung. While this is certainly good news for those of you still rocking the old Galaxy SII, there is no confirmed timeline for the OTA updates to start pushing out as yet. Older Samsung Galaxy Tablets may be getting Jelly Bean update.

Good news for Samsung Tablet owners, specifially the Galaxy Tab 2 owners with rumours that Samsung is looking into a Jelly Bean update for their tablet. The rumour which originates from SamMobile states that Samsung is looking at updating the tablet to the first Jelly Bean version(Android 4.1.2) before updating to the final(Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version before ending the software update cycle for the tablet completely. Samsung Galaxy S2 from Optus to get Jelly Bean update over the next week

In a tweet that has just gone out, Optus has advised that owners of one of 2011's most popular phones the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will begin seeing their Jelly Bean update over the next week. This update will take the Galaxy S 2 from Android 4.0.4 to Android 4.1.2 and should come as an OTA update, but for those who cannot wait for the OTA notification you can always try downloading Kies. Android 4.2.2 being pushed to AOSP

According to a Google Groups update by Jean-Baptiste Queru, Tech Lead for the Android Open Source Project(AOSP), Google is releasing Android 4.2.2 into AOSP right now. The JDQ39 build that has been pushing out to Nexus devices OTA for the last couple of weeks is now being merged with the existing source. Matching binaries are being made available as well. Official Android 4.2 Changelog finally available after 3 months

Well, it's been over three months but Google has finally gotten around to releasing the official Android 4.2 Changelog, listing everything that was changed in the 4.1-4.2 update. The tweet announcing the list, came through this morning from Hugo Barra, VP, Android Product Management at Google and links to the Android.com website. Australian Wi-Fi Galaxy Note 10.1(GT-N8010) receiving Jelly Bean now

Looks like the Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1(GT-N8010) is receiving it's Jelly Bean update now. Thanks to a tip off from Michael we can confirm the update is now available via Kies as a 505MB download and takes the Galaxy Note 10.1 up to Android 4.1.2.
