If you own a HTC One X and have experience irregular multitasking (ie. apps being killed when you switch to another app) you’re not alone. The One X community is up-in-arms at HTC as to why it is happening and if there’s a “fix” coming for it. Turns out HTC think it’s perfectly normal behaviour, but will look into people’s complaints to see if they can improve it.

An obvious reason behind the One X (or Sense UI) killing some apps as they are pushed into the background is to save battery life — if there’s nothing to run in…

Whilst no-one I know will be attending Google IO in person -Hint: Google Australia the Ausdroid crew’s bags are packed and ready to go at any stage. The sessions held are usually very interesting, whilst IO doesn`t just cover Android, it usually shows features that Google wants to concentrate on in depth over the next year. Google does kindly stream the events so you can catch up on either YouTube or possibly on Google+ either whilst the sessions are held or shortly thereafter.

The HTC One XL comes in black and works on all Australian 3G networks, but most importantly it works on Testra 4G LTE network on 1800MHz. The main difference between the One XL and the One X is the inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Dual-Core CPU which can certainly hold its own against the Quad-Core Tegra 3 in the One X as it is built on a smaller…

A lot of people were annoyed by Samsung’s choice to use PenTile Matrix in the Galaxy S III‘s display, however, Samsung have come to defend their choice saying that it increases the lifespan of the AMOLED display. Sammy says that AMOLED screens degrade quickly over time, so with PenTile they can reduce the effects of degradation; something RGB cannot do.

With PenTile, Samsung says it can have the display function perfectly and still look as vibrant in 3 years time — not that you’ll hold onto the Galaxy S III for 3 years, anyway. Then again, this could all be…
