Asus to launch Chromebooks in second half of 2013

Enigmatic Asus CEO Jerry Shen has announced during the companies earnings call that Asus is looking to ship a Chromebook in the second half of 2013. Shen advised that they see much potential in the cloud based OS from Google, with specific reference to potential in the government and education, saying Chromebook is good, not on the consumer side, but it's good in the education and government side, and some for the commercial side. Asus Transformer TF300TG receiving Android 4.2.1 update OTA now

The Asus update train moves ever forward, this time delivering Android 4.2.1 to the Transformer 300TG. Thanks to a tip off from Boulton who advised that his TF300 received the update over the air(OTA) this afternoon, bringing with it a new launcher which he describes as more Nexus looking. Asus to release Cube with Google TV in Australia in the 2nd half of 2013

Announced at CES back in January the Asus Cube is the first Google TV product from the Taiwanese manufacturer and it incorporates a few interesting design paradigms when it comes to both the unit itself and the software interface. The Nexus 7 dock has just become available for order on the Google Play store in Australia. The dock will set you back $49.99 with a $19.99 delivery fee and has a status of 'Ships in 1 - 2 weeks. Asus Australia has announced plans for the Asus MeMO pad a 7" Android tablet that looks set to take on another tablet that they produce - the Nexus 7. MeMO stands for "My Mobile. Asus releases another MWC teaser – A New Discovery at Hand

The MWC teasers continue, this time with a new one from Asus which seems to continue the docking theme. The new video which was tweeted from the Asus Australia Twitter feed comes With the description of 'Join us on Feb. 25, when Pad and Phone come together'. The video shows a statue of Christopher Columbus coming alive to answer his phone which is docked in his tablet indicating it's the Padone, but he quickly resumes his position after telling the caller he's at work right now. Asus has released their teaser that shows that they will also be at MWC this year, the video they've released invites us to join Asus to embrace the Metallic Miracle. The video they've released shows a large chromed UFO flying over Barcelona before finally docking into a church, in what appears to be a perfectly designed dock. Nexus 7 dock starting to appear at The Good Guys and Harvey Norman

The Nexus 7 Dock has long been the Unicorn accessory for one of, if not the most popular Android tablet ever and according to one sharp eyed Ausdroid reader the dock has started appearing in Harvey Norman and the Good Guys stores. Asus advised us last month that the retail price on the dock is expected to be $49 and was going to be going to Betta Electrical and the Good Guys but it appears that Harvey Norman has also jumped on board.
