Samsung US announces which of their devices will receive Kit Kat

Samsung in the US released a list of devices that will receive an update to Android 4.4.2. While they haven't included dates on when the devices will receive the update - beyond reminding owners that the update availability will vary by carrier but that some updates will begin rolling out today. While Kit Kat was designed by Google to run on devices with fairly low hardware requirements, most of the devices listed by Samsung could be described as having almost top of the line hardware. Android 4.3 rolling out to Telstra Samsung Galaxy Note II – other carriers to follow soon

Seems that the Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has begun rolling out to handsets, at least Telstra branded handsets for the time being, with other carriers promising the update should begin shortly. Samsung launches ArtCover service in Australia – and we’ve got two to give away!

Samsung this week opened ArtCover in Australia, a service that allows you to create custom back covers for your Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II or Galaxy Note 3 handsets from your own artwork (or someone else's, if you're so inclined). Galaxy Note II Android 4.3 update kicks off … in India

While Samsung seems to have had some issues upgrading the Galaxy S III to Android 4.3, the wait seems to be finally over for Galaxy Note II owners with "international" versions of the device - the GT-N7100 and GT-N7105 models - beginning to receive the update. Android 4.3 test firmware for the Galaxy Note II leaks out, available for flashing

Samsung advises list of devices that will be compatible with the Galaxy Gear

When Samsung announced the Galaxy Gear at IFA in September, the compatability was limited to Samsung Galaxy devices and at that a limited selection, limited to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1(2014 Edition) initially, but they advised that an update would come soon to the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, and Galaxy Note II in October. Reports from SamMobile suggest that three of the biggest Samsung devices of the last 18 months will be receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates in a matter of weeks. HD Voice update for Vodafone branded Galaxy Note II now available via Kies

The latest Vodafone Software update Blog advises that Galaxy Note II owners will finally be able to use the HD Voice feature that was rolled out to the Vodafone network began trialling back in June. While some customers have been able to use this update on their modified Galaxy Note II by changing the build prop, official support has just arrived. Just a couple of days ago, we saw rumours appear that Samsung was considering skipping the Android 4.2.2 update for the Galaxy Note II and the Samsung Galaxy S III. Rumour: Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III skipping Android 4.2.2

According to an "insider", Temefy is reporting that Samsung are debating whether or not two of their devices are going to get Jellybean 4.2.2 as an official update. The devices in question? Samsung offering Jay Z album to 1 Million Galaxy S4, S3 and Note II owners to download

Samsung started announcing a promotion last week, whereby owners of selected Samsung Galaxy phones would receive a copy of the Jay-Z Magna Carta Holy Grail album simply by downloading the app. Eligibility was cloudy at the time but Samsung has just put up the MagnaCartaHolyGrail website, which includes a link to the terms and conditions and Australia is included.
