Beats Electronics President confirms HTC One Max will pack its Beats audio software

With Beats Electronics purchasing the last remaining shares HTC had in its company back, many of us were left wondering if this move meant the end to the two companies still agreeing to input Beats Audio software into future HTC devices and gladly it seems for the moment that yes, HTC phones will still get Beats Audio software in their devices. HTC sells final stake in Beats by Dre for $256 Million cash injection

Cash strapped HTC have accepted an offer from Beats by Dre to purchase back the remaining 25% stake that remained from the original 50% stake they purchased back in August 2011. HTC initially purchased a stake in Beats worth $300 Million for 50.1% of Beats by Dre, but a year later Beats purchased half of that stake back leaving HTC with a 25% share in the audio company. Digitimes are reporting that according to their sources within the supply chain for the HTC One Max, the large sized device will adopt an older Qualcomm processor, the quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ 8064 for production of its first large-size device. HTC One Max pictured and specs leaked

The HTC One Max is HTC's biggest non-secret at this stage with so many leaks appearing about the device and now carrier China Mobile has leaked the specs on Chinese social media site Weibo. Listing the device as the HTC 8088, it could of course be an Asian variant, but spec wise, it matches up with previously rumoured specs. The China Mobile listing says it will come with a 5.9" FUll HD 1920×1080 resolution display, 1.7GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 5MP Ultra-Pixel camera, 16GB on-board storage, WiFi, Bluetooth and all powered by a 3,300mAh battery. Telstra pushing Android 4.2.2 to HTC One XL and Xperia Z over the air

HTC One XL and Xperia Z owners will have been seeing an update to Android 4.2.2 on their phone over the last couple of weeks. Craig on the Telstra Crowd Support forum has advised that the Xperia Z began seeing the Android 4.2.2 update beginning its rollout on the 30th of August while the HTC One XL began on Monday. Telstra certainly is launching a few more flagship devices, with the HTC One Mini now available for pre-order through the Telstra website. HTC employees detained amid trade-secret investigations in Taiwan

The Sydney Morning Herald yesterday reported that HTC employees have been interrogated, with two arrested and detained on allegations that some of the company's trade secrets have been leaked illegally. Engadget says a total of five staff were interrogated, naming Vice President of Product Design Thomas Chien, R&D director Wu Chien Hung and design team senior manager Justin Huang, adding that Chien and Wu were detained while the others were released on bail.
