CommBank Tap & Pay not working for many users updating their Galaxy S4 to Android 4.4

Many Samsung Galaxy S4 users of the Commonwealth's CommBank app are facing a problem of the app's Tap & Pay feature, which utilises NFC for touch payments, no longer working after updating their devices to Android 4.4.x. Having personally come in contact (haha, puns) with the issue, I can confirm that regardless of the firmware's region, if you update to Android 4.4.x and have to re-install the app, you are likely to face errors each and every time you try to set up Tap & Pay once again. There are many posts on the Commonwealth Bank's community support... Continue reading

Samsung announces the Galaxy Ace Style

The Galaxy Ace line of phones has been fairly popular here in Australia where they are one of the dominant handsets in the pre-paid market. Samsung has just announced a new version of the Galaxy Ace, and instead of upping the number on the end, they've added a word - Style. There's not really anything to adding the word 'Style' as an affectation, Samsung has described the phone as a 'Fun, expressive and easy-to-use smartphone designed for the social user'. It will have some style choices though, with colour at least. Samsung will make the Galaxy Ace Style available in... Continue reading

The Galaxy S5 Zoom is definitely real, with the first picture of the camera-phone showing up overnight. The phone looks like a slightly modified iteration of the S4 Zoom, taking some design stylings from the faux-leather backed Note 3 instead of the new square hatched design on the back of the Galaxy S5. We're no closer to actual launch of the Galaxy S5 Zoom, but previous reports on the S5 Zoom, have rumoured it will first and foremost come with a 19MP sensor and have a 720P Screen, although what size screen hasn't been determined yet. There... Continue reading

The type of processor still hasn't been named but is rumoured to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-Core, and if the UAProf for the SM-G800 is... Continue reading
