Samsung’s metal chassis Galaxy Alpha to launch August 4th

Samsung has made their name and gained a massive share of the Android phone market with an array of phones built with plastic. With the release last year of the metal bodied HTC One, the outcry for a metal Galaxy phone began to get louder and Samsung has apparently listened. SamMobiles is advising that Samsung is intending to launch the Galaxy Alpha on August 4th. The Galaxy Alpha is rumoured to be constructed of Metal, but exactly how much is up for debate. Whether it be a metal rear, or a metal chasis isn’t known, but if the rumour is[Read More...]

In Pictures: Samsung Sound Unboxing

Samsung launched its Samsung Sound wireless home multiroom audio system a couple of months ago, and our review system – consisting of a black M7 Speaker and an M2 Multiroom Hub just arrived! When I went to open the boxes, I realised that they were sealed tight, just out of the factory. While the system is available at retail, I thought that if I was going to be the first to open up the boxes for review, there might be some value in documenting the unboxing process, even if it’s just for a bit of fun. Here we go, then![Read More...]

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha : Return Of The S2

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha : Return Of The S2

We all know that Samsung are big on releasing different versions of the same phone to cater for as many different users as possible. This year, possibly to appease users who preferred the HTC-metal casing to the Samsung plastic, Samsung were rumoured to be producing a premium, metal-clad version of the Galaxy S5 called the Galaxy Alpha. Photos have surfaced today that show the Galaxy Alpha is not such a device. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha appears to be a 4.7in phone designed to compete with the Iphone 6 when it is released. The Alpha to me appears to be a[Read More...]

New Samsung ad says “we’ve had it for two years” having a shot at iPhone 6′s larger screen

Samsung posted a new advertisement recently on its Samsung Mobile USA YouTube channel in which two friends, an iPhone user and a Galaxy S5 user speak to each other about the next iPhone possibly having a larger display. “Dude, iPhone might be getting a bigger screen” excitedly states the iPhone user  “That hasn’t happened yet?” slyly responds the Galaxy S5 user. Check out the video below. It’s not the first time Samsung have taken a shot at Apple and the iPhone. Google and Samsung talk Knox integration in Android L

Google hasn’t made the largest inroads into corporate and enterprise when it comes to spreading Android. Samsung has taken up a bit of the slack though with Samsung Knox, their security suite of APIs, apps and protocols designed to keep Samsung devices safe and secure in a managed environment. At Google I/O last month, support for components of Knox in the upcoming Android L release was announced, and today Google and Samsung have talked a bit more about the details. First off, despite rumours that Samsung were handing over the reigns of Knox to Google, Samsung has clarified this stating:[Read More...]
