Sony rolls out Android 4.4.4 to the Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet and Xperia ZL and ZR

Sony has announced that their Android 4.4.4 update for the Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet and Xperia ZR and ZL handsets has begun rolling out. According to the tweet announcing the start of the rollout, the update brings with it ‘fixes, battery, wifi & email improvements and more’. The update will begin hitting handsets purchased outright from Sony, but carrier based handsets will have a while to wait just a little longer. Sony announces QX1 E-series Lens Mount and QX30 Zoom Lens camera

Sony has announced a followup to the QX lens-style cameras from 2013 that looked to add DSLR-esque high-resolution photography to any smartphone. This year at IFA 2014, they’ve come up with the QX1, a lens mount sporting a 20.1 megapixel APS-C image sensor, an E-series mounting bracket, a flash module and all the other things you need to take and store photos and the QX30, a proper successor to last year’s QX10.
