Motorola X won’t be coming to Australia — Motorola source

EXCLUSIVE: Yesterday we had two Motorola X stories, the first one seemed to be debunked as inaccurate rumour (if not complete garbage) fairly quickly, and the second was picked up and run by a few other news sources as well, but regardless of the coverage, the second story we thought had some merit. Before you read further, please note our disclaimer: This is firmly in the rumour file. While the information is quite specific, we have been unable to independently verify... Continue reading

More information on the Motorola X — this time for real?

This morning we brought you what initially appeared to be something approaching a realistic rumour regarding the Motorola X Phone. As it turns out, that news was largely unreliable and unsubstantiated rumour, and in respect of the imagery at least, provably false. You can see the pre-aged image used to create the fake as the article image; it's clearly a (relatively) poorly made render. However, what we now have could well be more compelling. Ausdroid has exclusively received a tip from a well-placed individual, who has told us that: Camera will be 10mp rear... Continue reading

Update: This is not, however, the same network that Boost Mobile customers can access; Boost has a somewhat unique arrangement... Continue reading

New Motorola Google smartphone said to be a “game changer”

When Google took over Motorola Mobility, we -- and others -- thought that this would mean a range of co-designed phones and tablets which would run close-to-stock Android and generally set the standard for the industry. This didn't quite happen. We have certainly seen some great handsets from Motorola in the RAZR M and RAZR HD, and they are a lot closer to stock than Samsung and HTC offerings, but they're not quite what we think people expected. Back in December, we heard some noises about Motorola working on a project named X... Continue reading
