In the latest Coles catalogue starting this Wednesday 18 September for one week, Coles is offering the Alcatel One Touch S'Pop for $99 which the are offering a Vodafone Pre-Paid sim card as part of the offer for free. Now whilst the Alcatel One Touch S'Pop isn't going to offer the latest and greatest specs, it does offer most of the same functions as Android smartphones offered for ten times the price (although, not all of them). ACMA announces new SMS Alerts for mobile users

If you've ever over-spent on your data/voice or SMS cap and lived to regret it due to the cost of additional services because you haven't been aware of just how much you were using above your incluions on your plan, then the new initiative which went into effect from yesterday could be your saviour. HTC One Mini to launch on Vodafone and Telstra

Announced by HTC back in July, the HTC One Mini is a pretty hot little phone and HTC has just announced that the phone will be available on Telstra and Vodafone. Telstra is advising on their Exchange blog that they will begin selling the Silver version of the One Mini from the 17th of September on their $60 'Every Day Connect' Plan with an additional $2 handset repayment on top every month. Android 4.2.2 update for Vodafone HTC One is now rolling out

After delaying the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One to ensure that customers would not be charged for the data, Vodafone has advised that the update is now available. The Vodafone Blog has updated to advise that the update will be preceded by a 1.5MB update which will then enable the larger Android 4.2.2 update to proceed. Telstra owners of the HTC One, get excited the long awaited Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One is set to go live for your handsets tomorrow.
