LG X3 gets benchmarked, kicks butt with its quad-core CPU

Remember the LG X3? It's the device LG are going to launch at Mobile World Congress, and it just got a little bit more real this morning with the release of screenshots showing some benchmark results in Quadrant. MoDaCo was lucky enough to score the exclusive shots which give the X3 a score of 4412 on Quadrant -- more than double the score of the Galaxy Nexus, which has half the amount of cores. Render of LG’s first Quad-Core phone ‘X3′ leaks out, could be unveiled at MWC

Just when we thought LG had finally left the Android race, here comes the LG X3 render to bring them back into the game. The X3 is supposedly going to be a Quad-Core device with a 4.7-inch display with the now obligatory 1280x720 resolution (312ppi). NVIDIA's Tegra 3 Quad-Core chip will be the powerhouse inside the device, which is apparently going to be less than 9mm in thickness even with a 2000mAh battery packed away inside it. Huawei announces Ideos X3 exclusive on the Vodafone network

Looks like I was a little behind on this one, Huawei apparently launched the Ideos X3 on the 3rd of November. It appears to be another decent entry level phone from Huawei, however this little fella runs Gingerbread right out of the box and as a bonus it also supports the Huawei Handset Over-the-Air and Online Upgrade (HOTA) solution, which provides users with easy and timely upgrades, so this phone should be kept up to date fairly well.
