Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 confirmed for Vodafone, Optus & Three

The Xperia X10 (no matter how bad the press it gets) will be making it’s way to Australian Carriers in the next few months.

  • Three will launch it 3-4 weeks after it’s official launch, so that’s around late April – early May.
  • Vodafone are also launching it in May
  • Optus has no confirmed release date as of yet, but they are saying it should be soon. So around May-June

The X10 has also appeared in the “Coming Soon” section of the Allphones catalogue.

There have been no prices or plans set yet, but we’ll keep you up to date when they do.

Thanks to my sources 🙂

Yea, I heard and seen the reviews of this phone, the lack of some functions doesn’t really bug me but the fact that it’s probably the best android that Three is going to offer at the moment (LOL iMuse how did you know I’m with Three??)

And by the way, it’s gonna be much better than my current phone…I don’t want an iPhone, not rich enough to be a telstra customer…so…there it goes~

Haha I think you brought it up on another post ;). But yes, I’m also looking forward to this phone. I need a nice big screen for web browsing and such.

With all the problems with this phone are you sure that you want one?

I must admit that the only phone in or coming to the Aus market that i am interested in is the HTC Desire. But I cant stand Telstra so I’m not sure what to do.

The only problem I see, personally, is the lack of Dual/Multi Touch. Knowing it will never have it is a real problem. You won’t be able to type as well & play games or use apps that require Dual Touch.

The lag is no problem for me, as I know it will disappear with the 2.1 update, as 1.6 has no hardware acceleration.

Great news!! Just good timing to renew my contract (Hope it comes sooner though :b)

Good timing indeed. You’re on Three yeah? They’ll most likely be the first to release it 🙂
