In a great article written by APC Mag, they had a chat to Toshiba Australia’s Managing Director, Mark Whittard. Along with some news of Windows Tablets coming out in Sept-Oct, Mr Whittard went on to say the following..

“We will have an Android tablet this year.”

During the interview with APC Mag, Mr Whittard did flash a prototype Tablet that featured USB & HDMI inputs accompanying a multitouch display. Whittard said that no specs had been finalised and that everything was still a work in progress. When probed on whether we could see an Android Smartphone come out of the Toshiba workshop, Whittard said that the current market was tough to enter, but they’re constantly looking at the idea.
