Want to write for Ausdroid? Update: Applications now closed.

Just a gentle reminder folks – if you want to write for Ausdroid, then you’ll need to fill out an application by tomorrow night! From Monday we’ll be considering the applications we’ve received, and contacting people we’d like to invite to the next stage of the process (maybe a quick phone or email interview, depending on time).

We look forward to reading your applications and inviting some new talent aboard!

Chris Rowland   Editor and Publisher

Chris has been at the forefront of smartphone reporting in Australia since smartphones were a thing, and has used mobile phones since they came with giant lead-acid batteries that were "transportable" and were carried in a shoulder bag. He saw the transition from AMPS to GSM, loved the Motorola StarTac, and got into Palm technologies in a big way. The arrival some years later of the original iPhone, and then the early Androids, awoke a new interest in mobile technology, and Chris has been writing about it since.

Today, Chris publishes one of Australia's most popular technology websites, Ausdroid. His interests include mobile (of course), as well as connected technology and how it can make all our lives easier.

Would have loved to apply, I think I’d have the necessary experience and insight, but I work full time already which leaves me to think I wouldn’t be able to meet the demands of ~5 articles and the odd podcast…

A shame, I’m a big android fan (in since the G1 🙂 )and been following Ausdroid for some time…

Maybe next time (…or as a less frequent contributor via article or podcast 😉 )

Jamal.

Hi guys, Will you still accept contributions articles from your readers? Not that I’m a writer but it might be a way to go to encourage people to write for this website without the obligation of a “full time” writer if you know what I mean? So if some people enjoy the experiences of a contributor, they might go on being a regular and  if there is another opening, then your editorial team will have a wealth of experienced candidates to choose from. It will be a win-win situation. You guys will have a pool of guest writers to pick… Read more »

It’s not a bad idea, and although we may take on one or two writers from this exercise, we may invite some of the other ‘top applicants’ to contribute from time to time also 🙂

I gave it a shot, hopefully I at least get some feedback. Writing for Ausdroid would – at the very least – be some great experience; and at best, result in world domination.
