Vodafone have just given a quick run through of the basic features found on the upcoming HTC EVO 3D which will be launching on Vodafone and Telstra later on this month. There’s no word on pricing and exact launch date, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
The software running on the EVO 3D — at launch — will be Android 2.3.4, so you’ll be able to GTalk Video Call, as well as Sense 3.0 which is also found on the HTC Sensation.
With the ability to shoot and view 3D videos (which are shot at 720p) and images being the forefront of its spec-sheet, it’s going to be interesting to see just how well the EVO 3D takes off with consumers. After having played with the Optimus 3D — review coming soon, I’ve been assured — Lucas thinks 3D is very much a niche feature that won’t suit everyone.
The EVO 3D is based off the HTC Sensation, however, there are a few differences in the specs which I’ve highlighted in grey..

Well there you have it. We’ll keep you updated should we hear anything from the official or unofficial channels. In the meantime, what do you think of 3D? Just a fad or something to watch out for?
