Want another taste of Ice Cream Sandwich? Get the Roboto font on your phone or PC now

When Ice Cream Sandwich was launched yesterday one of the new things that Matias Duarte announced was a new font for Android called Roboto. The clever guys over at XDA developers have been at it again, this time offering the Roboto font for Windows, as well as a flashable zip, a Miui zip and a Flipfont APK for Samsung phone owners. From looking at the threads to install any of these on your phone you will need root access.

True Type Fonts for Windows : Download Here
Installation :
Windows XP
From the “Start” menu select “Control Panel” and then select the “Appearance and Themes” category.
Select “Fonts” from the “See Also” panel at the left of this screen.
On the “File” menu, select “Install New Font…”
Click the drive and folder that contain the fonts you want to add.
To select more than one font to add, press and hold down the CTRL key, click the fonts you want, then click on “OK”

Flashable Fonts for CWM : Download Here
Miui : Download Here
FlipFont APK: Get if from XDA Developers thread here

It`s not Ice Cream Sandwich but it’s one step closer anyway.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

If you are rooted the easiest method for install is to get Font Installer from the market and apply from there. Dead easy, and it looks good on my Atrix. Until my Nexus arrives..

I presume the CWM in “Flashable Fonts for CWM” stands for Clockwork Mod.  If this is true, and seeing how my HTC Desire is rooted with Clockwork Mod, can someone please note down how to install this flashable fonts pack ?  Thanks and apologies for asking a silly question.
