I`ve been saying for a while that I want to see what Huawei can do when they cut loose and this year it appears we`ll get to see just that, starting with the Ascend P1 which was announced back at CES in January. Huawei are looking to get the Ascend P1 released here in Australia next month and are currently in talks with carriers and suppliers.

This phone comes with some respectable specs including a Dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4460 CPU and a super thin form factor which measures just 7.7 mm, my fingers are crossed hoping that Huawei continue their current trend with Android and ship this beauty with vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich. No details carriers/plans or pricing as yet, but rest assured that we’ll keep you up to date with any developments later in the year we’ll also get to see the K3VT powered Ascend D Quad.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
