Instagram hits 10,000,000 downloads on the Play Store

Just over 3 weeks since Instagram launched on Android and it has already mustered up 10,000,000 downloads on the Google Play Store. The app, which was previously exclusive to iOS, currently has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 on the Play Store with over 500,000 ratings. It’s solid proof that people love to make their photos look more creative and appealing — something that a lot of people are for or against. This download rate will no doubt make Mark Zuckerberg feel better about the $1 billion dollar Facebook acquisition of Instagram.
