ASUS Eee Pad Slider receives Android 4.0 ICS update

ASUS Australia have notified users via their Facebook page that the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Eee Pad Slider is now available. The update — dubbed V.9.2.1.21 — will bring a slew of new features and improved performance to the already impressive device. The update is being sent out over-the-air, so be sure to have a full battery and a strong Wi-Fi signal before downloading and applying the update.

Improvements include:

  • Create folders in the Home Screen
  • Quick launch of the camera from lock screen
  • Additional screen capture method
  • Additional browser functions
  • Special camera effects and photo editing
  • Swipe to close tasks or notifications
  • Font size modification
  • Other minor user interface changes

If you’re wanting to install the update manually; grab your device’s build number then download the correct update from ASUS’s website.
