We’ve been informed by a tipster (who included the above image) that the HTC One S and HTC One V will join their older brother in the One X at Optus in the near future. Dummy units of the two devices are expected to arrive in Optus stores very, very soon meaning that a launch isn’t too far off either. Don’t let the Singapore weather on the home screen fool you, Optus is apparently shipping in dummy handsets from parent company SingTel over in Singapore.

The HTC One S is a mid-range device with a 1.7GHz Dual-Core CPU and 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) Super AMOLED display. The One V is a lower-end device with a 1GHz single-core CPU and 3.7-inch WVGA (800×480) display. Both devices run on Android 4.0 with Sense 4 plopped on top.

We’ve heard nothing in the range of pricing, however, it can’t be any higher than the One X currently is. So expect the One S to be around $40 and the One V to be lower than that. We’ll update you with confirmed details once we hear more.

regardless of the processor, looking forward to actually seeing the One S… also wanting to see the One V in action, true test of Sense 4 to see how light HTC have made it, if it can run smooth on the One V.

Very disappointed with s3 chip. I have been waiting for One s since it launched.
Bad choice for HTC to replace the chip.

So, HTC is sending the inferior One S with an S3 processor instead of S4 here in Aussie? damn, guess everybody wanting the snapdragon S4 especially with the US galaxy S3 is affecting the SOC’s supplies.

Aus is getting the 1.7G S3 and not the 1.5G S4 in the One S? Disappointing.
