In lieu of an official Tour De France App, SBS has come to the rescue of cycling fans nationwide and released their own app the Tour de France Tour Tracker in partnership with Skoda. SBS are providing the video streams for the app. A fair few features built into this one and looks to be a pretty quality product.

  • Live video stream coverage of every stage (Australia only)
  • Up-to-the-minute text updates
  • GPS tracking on interactive maps and profiles
  • Breaks, chases and time gaps on the road
  • Daily results and overall standings
  • Professional photography of each day
  • Video recaps of each stage
  • Stage previews including description, map, profile and details of all KOM and Sprint lines
  • Team and rider listings with rider profiles
  • Rider search by name, bib, team or country

Looks pretty good, I’m not going to pretend to be a cycling expert nor even claim to understand how this whole team thing works but the tour offers a good look at the French countryside and for those of you who know how it works an exciting race. Head to the Google Play Store to grab it for yourself.
