Huawei adds two low-end devices to Vodafone’s lineup

Vodafone have today added two new low-end Huawei devices to their lineup in the form of the Huawei Ascend G300 and Ascend Y100 (seen above). Both devices can be purchased today for $169 and $99 respectively on Vodafone Prepaid. While the low prices may be attractive for many people, keep in mind that both devices run Android 2.3 “Gingebread” with only the Ascend G300 receiving Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” sometime in the future. If updates aren’t a problem for you (they kind of should be, though) then these devices are worth a look.

The $169 Ascend G300 features a 4-inch IPS display, 1GHz single-core CPU and a 5MP camera along with LED flash. The $99 Ascend Y100 features a 2.8-inch TFT display with fingerprint reducing coating and a 800MHz single-core CPU.
